After almost two years this walnut log finally made it onto the mill. It is the largest log I have sawn so far. The biggest slab was 48”-58” wide and 14’ long. This tree was salvaged from Grandville less then 3 miles from the shop
Always a good day when you walnut this size on the mill. This walnut came from Rockford and was taken down to make room for a new house. It is the biggest/heaviest log we have loaded with the log arch so far at 13’ long and 36” diameter.
Got this custom coffee table top all finished up. Always enjoy doing larger pours like this. Took 5 gallons of @superclearepoxy tinted blue with @blackdiamondpigments_com “deep sea blue” and was finished with @rubiomonocoatusa
Spent the day slicing up this big walnut crotch and picking up some wood from the kiln. Cool slabs but the 10 nails in caused some headaches. Was about 32” wide on the small end and 50” at the crotch by 8’ long.
Spent the weekend milling up this massive red oak. Put up quite the fight loading onto the trailer and getting it onto the mill but in the end we came out victorious. It is the biggest log we have milled so far at 11’ long and 44”- 58&rd
Finally found the time to finish this counter top for my mother’s kitchen. Love the grain in these 2 walnut slabs that where glued together.
Got this custom walnut sofa table wrapped up today. On to the next project!

Forget to post pics of this custom coffee table I made last fall. Customer supplied me with this big sassafras cookie from her parents house. It was roughly 36”-30” wide and roughly 88 years old. Only sassafras I’ve seen near this
